THE LOUD
Author: Teresa Dello Monaco

On the island of Cyprus, amid the scent of lemons and the lapping of the waves, lived ten loud players, an instrument with a warm, resonant, sweet, and melodious sound. They had formed a band called Loud. A somewhat eccentric band, but beloved by all. There were other instruments too: Kyriacos with his sparkly guitar, Aphrodite playing drums with kitchen utensils, and Nikos, the king of the trombone, capable of making the clouds tremble!
One day they decided to organize a concert on the beach of Paphos. But when they began playing, their rhythm was so captivating that even the crabs began dancing, the shells went clapping, ‘clap clap’, and the wind began to whistle in time. Suddenly, an elderly turtle emerged from the sea and shouted, "Louder, guys! I can't hear you underwater!" The Loud players, overjoyed, played even more energetic, until they created the first seaside disco in Cyprus. Since that day, every summer, fish, tourists and dolphins gather there to dance under the stars to the cheerful rhythm of the Loud musicians!
