Darbuka
Author: Maria Archontaki

Once upon a time, there was a little drummer named Darbuki who lived on a sunny North Africa country called Tunisia. He was a space-age drum, shaped like a cup, with a cheerful sound that made everyone dance: Dum, tek, tek, dum!
One day, Darbuki heard about a musical project where boys and girls from Italy, Cyprus, and Spain would share their music. Excited, he decided to join the trip to teach his rhythm.
First, he flew to Italy, where he learned cheerful tarantella songs. Then he travelled to Spain, where he danced with castanets and learned some flamenco. In each country, the boys and girls laughed, danced, and discovered new sounds.
When everyone gathered, Darbuki played his drum: Dum, tek, tek, dum! And the children responded with clapping and dancing.
Since then, Darbuki hasn't stopped traveling, bringing his rhythm to the hearts of the world.
